How it works

Three steps toward the day you described.

There is nothing to configure and no calendar to fill. You put the day you want into words, and Sundial quietly begins.

The process

Simple by design.

Each step is small. The change, over weeks, is real.

01

Describe your ideal ordinary day

Not a perfect day, an ordinary one that feels like yours. The rhythm you want, where your energy should sit, the small good things you keep meaning to make room for.

02

Sundial learns your real life

It reads the lightest signals of how your days actually go and finds the gap, gently, between the day you described and the day you tend to live.

03

It nudges your days toward that shape

One small, well-timed nudge at a time, over weeks. Nothing forced. Then it shows you how close your real days came to your ideal one.

The idea

What is a day-shape?

A day-shape is not a schedule. It is the rough texture of the ordinary day you want more of. When do you want to feel bright, and when do you want things to slow? What small good thing should be waiting in the morning, and what should the evening hold?

Most of us carry a version of that day somewhere in mind. The one we keep meaning to live. The one that keeps giving way to other people's urgencies and open tabs. Sundial asks you to put it into words, and then holds that shape for you.

You describe the rhythm and the two or three small things that matter. Sundial reads your real days against that shape. The gap between the two is where it works, quietly, to lean your actual days a little closer, one small thing at a time.

The nudges

Small, well-timed, easy to ignore.

Sundial never sends a list. It offers one small nudge at the right moment, and only a few over the course of a day. A quiet note: the light outside is still soft. Or: the afternoon dip is here, the walk you wanted fits right now.

If the nudge does not fit your day, you let it pass. No streak breaks. No mark against you. Sundial simply notes it and tries a little softer next time, at a better hour, in a lighter way.

Over weeks, the nudges become more accurate. They arrive when you can actually say yes, not just when a timer fires. The result is not discipline. It is a day that has quietly started to lean toward the shape you described.

The reflection

Kind, once a week. Not a scoreboard.

Once a week, Sundial shows you how close your real days came to your ideal one. Not as a grade or a percentage to feel bad about. As a calm picture of the week: where the days felt like yours, and where they drifted.

It notices the things that went well even when you did not. The morning that started slow and settled into something good. The evening that held more than you expected. The walk that happened even though you nearly did not go.

The reflection is there to help you see the drift before it becomes the default, and to notice the weeks when the real day and the ideal day were genuinely close. Those weeks feel different. They are the point.

Free to start, genuinely.

The free plan lets you shape one ideal ordinary day and receive gentle nudges toward it, with no time limit and no card required. You can live with Sundial for as long as you like before deciding whether the full picture is worth it. There is no trial, no countdown, nothing to run out of.

Shape your first ordinary day.

It takes about five minutes to describe the day you want. Sundial takes it from there.
