Pause, export or delete
You are always in control.
No dark patterns, no guilt trips. Here is exactly how to pause Sundial, take your data with you, or leave entirely.
Option one
Pause
Pausing stops all nudges without removing anything. Your day-shape, your history, and your settings stay exactly as you left them. Resume whenever you like.

Open Settings in the app.

Choose 'Nudges and activity'.
- 3
Select 'Pause Sundial' and pick a duration, or pause indefinitely.
Pausing is instant and reversible at any time.
Option two
Export your data
Download everything Sundial knows about you: your day-shape, your nudge history, your responses, and your settings, as a plain JSON file you can open and read.

Open Settings in the app.

Choose 'Privacy and data'.
- 3
Tap 'Download my data'. The file is ready within a few seconds.
Exporting does not change or delete anything.
Option three
Delete your account
Deleting removes everything. Your day-shape, your history, your nudge data, and your account are permanently and completely gone. This cannot be undone.

Open Settings in the app.

Choose 'Privacy and data'.

Tap 'Delete my account'. You will be asked to confirm once.

Deletion is immediate. You will receive a confirmation email.
Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery period and no hidden copy.
A note from us
Deletion is real.
We do not keep a shadow copy or wait to see if you come back. When you delete, it is gone from our servers, our backups, and our logs within 30 days of your request. The 30-day window covers backup rotation. From day one, your account is already deactivated and your data is no longer accessible.
